SCHEDULING AND SERVICE PROVISION
o To schedule your move, simply contact us via phone, in person, or through our online platform.
o We advise booking as early as possible to secure your preferred date and allow us to allocate the appropriate resources for your move. Your scheduled start time is an estimate and subject to change, but we will notify you promptly if there are any significant adjustments.
CANCELLATION AND RESCHEDULING
o Same-day cancellations will incur a charge equivalent to the base hourly rate.
o Deposits and booking fees are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule, we will honor your deposit for up to 90 days from the original date.
o In cases of unexpected circumstances or if the customer exhibits disruptive behavior, we reserve the right to halt services and secure the moving truck. A deposit may be requested to resume the move.
o Our crew is instructed to cease services immediately if subjected to inappropriate behavior by the customer, who will then be responsible for all charges incurred up to that point.
PROCESS AND DURATION
o Non-binding/Not-to-Exceed estimates are based on continuous time from arrival to job completion, billed in quarter-hour increments and rounded up.
o The duration of the move is influenced by various factors, and additional trips or vehicles may be required, potentially incurring separate charges.
o We may extend our crew or work hours as necessary to complete a job, with additional billing as applicable.
o We reserve the right to limit our workday to 12 hours.
o In case of a mechanical breakdown, we will reschedule the lost time at a mutually convenient time.
o The customer is responsible for securing parking access and will bear any related costs or penalties.
SAFETY AND WORK CONDITIONS
o We prioritize safety and may refuse service in environments that pose risks, including the presence of other service providers or hazardous conditions.
o We reserve the right to cancel services without liability under circumstances that threaten safety or involve illegal requests.
o Please inform us of any particularly heavy or challenging items to ensure safe handling.
HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS
o We may refuse service or charge a hazardous condition fee if the work environment poses health and safety risks.
o Our movers will not operate in unsafe conditions, such as unfloored attics or areas with pest infestations or structural hazards.
Understanding the Risks Associated with Moving Services
o We are committed to handling your belongings with the utmost care and attention, but we also appreciate your understanding of these inherent risks involved during the transportation of Household Goods. In the moving process, despite our team’s careful handling and expertise, there is always a risk of minor, superficial damage such as scuffs, marks, dents, or scratches. In receiving our services or engaging in any transaction all parties understand all warnings & advisories. With regards to our Moving Services Contract, our liability for damages is limited. We assure you that significant damages or losses due to our negligence or failure to perform our duties with reasonable care are covered. However, minor cosmetic damages that do not affect the functionality or structural integrity of any items damaged, fall outside the scope of our liability.
VALUABLE AND PERSONAL ITEMS
o Handling Valuables: For items of high sentimental or monetary value, we recommend you transport these personally. While we handle all items carefully, some possessions are safer in your hands during the move.
PACKING AND INVENTORY
o Our liability does not cover damage to contents you pack yourself or items in open boxes that are not properly protected. We cannot assume responsibility for perishable, dangerous, or hazardous materials included in your shipment without our knowledge. Original packaging is advised for unique or delicate items such as oversized items, televisions over 55 inches, mechanical/electrical equipment, and fine art; including but not limited to items of high value.
DURING THE MOVE
o Presence Required: Your presence or that of an authorized representative is crucial at the start of the move and during the final walkthrough to ensure satisfaction with the process.
o Damage Reporting: Please report any damages incurred during the move immediately. We will document these with photographs for our records.
SPECIALIZED SERVICES
o Professional Handling: We recommend hiring professionals for disconnecting/connecting appliances and assembling/disassembling complex or specialized items. Assisting with these tasks is done so without assuming liability for any potential damage.
POST-MOVE
o Inspection: We urge you to inspect the structural integrity and safety of all items following reassembly or installation.
o Storage: Once items are placed in storage and the unit is locked our liability ends. Future moves from storage are treated as separate contracts.
LIABILITY AND COVERAGE
o We are not liable for inconvenience, loss of earnings, or additional costs incurred. Our default coverage for items we handle is the Released Value Protection at $.60 per pound per item. We are not responsible for interior or exterior damage to property during the move, with liability capped at $50.00 for property damage.
SPECIFIC CONDITIONS AND EXCLUSIONS
o We move items with pre-existing conditions at your risk. Heavy & oversized items will only be moved only when safe.
o Oversized items will not be moved up or down stairs. Ensure appliances are disconnected before our arrival. We are not liable for damage to televisions (TV’s). Press-board (i.e. compressed/particle wood) furniture is not designed to be moved once assembled and is excluded from moving claims due to its fragility.
o We do not transport pets or living creatures.
o Transportation of items of high value that do not come with their original packaging at the time of our arrival; are to be protected using moving blankets (‘furniture pads’).
o Please note that this does not guarantee as it is only an alternative to being transported.
o Declining wrapping or alternative protection waives your right to file any claims.
